Salted Caramel Sauce
Salted Caramel is all the rage and for good reason, it’s just delicious! This simple recipe is my favorite. Of course its awesome drizzled over ice cream and over a slice of warm apple pie, oh my goodness. I hope you try it!
heavy whipping cream
large pinch salt
Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat.
Add sugar. Whisk until sugar melts and is thick and boiling, about 2-3 minutes.
Gradually whisk in cream.
Bring to a boil, whisking often.
Boil until sauce thickens enough to coat spoon and is reduced to 1 cup, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove from heat and whisk in salt.
Can be made 1 week ahead, covered and chilled, but serve warm.
